A coworker had decided to begin a team in our district and asked if I wanted to help out. Of course I said yes. We had training today and it seems like a lot of fun. I am really excited!
4/18: looked for volunteer opportunities April 19, 2008
It seems that the Special Olympics doesn’t need/want my assistance. So I am looking for somewhere to donate some time, but I am not having much luck. I can’t make a gigantic commitment, but I would like to do something. I checked on craigslist, but I don’t know where else to look. I am thinking maybe a few hours a week would be feasible. Any ideas where else to look?
3/10: signed up to volunteer March 10, 2008
I just signed up to volunteer with the Special Olympics. I am not sure what I will be doing yet, but I am pretty excited about this. There are billboards all over 93 with the website, so I checked it out today. If anyone has any other volunteer ideas for me, maybe something that you do that you enjoy, please send them along. I am especially interested in working with animals, so I think I will also check out shelters.
