10/22: found out Oscar is a Maine Coon cat October 24, 2009

Well, that explains why he is getting so big.  After a bit of research, I learned that these cats can grow to 20 plus pounds, have a distinctive meow, and generally like water.  Additionally, they also grow until age 4 or 5.  Since he is 1 and a half and checks in at 13.7 lbs, we probably have a ways to go.

In related news, Clara has a tabby pattern (apparently tabby is not a specific breed) and has the mark of the M on her forehead.  She also has thumbs, which I think are awesome.

DSCF5196Clara at 1 and a half and 7 lbs.

I am unsure if this is a joke, but I am laughing hysterically.  Apparently, this is a death metal band with an African Grey parrot named Waldo as the singer.  Amazing.

Yes, it has been awhile.  It was fun to go through everything.  I had no idea what was in there.  And I had a suitcase I forgot about from when I was in Nantucket and I found a dress that I used to love.  Too bad it was so musty that I had to toss it.  Best find: my first license ever (thank goodness I had the sense to not do sky high bangs.)  I stayed over at my dad and Kate’s house and Kate and I had a sleepover.  We chatted all night long.  Then Rylee jumped on my head and we went to sleep.

So I was re-reading my bone reading post (http://trynewthings.wordpress.com/2008/04/29/426-got-a-bone-reading/) and I realized that I did come into a random sum of money- a lottery ticket winning $1000- that was (I believe) from a long forgotten scratch ticket given to me around Christmas (December.)  Maybe there is something to that bone reading after all.

2/7: got a Shamwow! February 16, 2009

I am addicted to infomercials. Brian happened to mention that he thought this looked amazing, so I got it for his birthday.  (How romantic, right?)  Other things I have purchased off of tv include (but are not limited to):

-the PedEgg

-the ab shocker belt (which was supposed to tighten your stomach by giving you electric shocks.  No tightening but it hurt like a bitch.)

-Shamwow!

SORRY THIS IS OUT OF ORDER!  I FORGOT TO INCLUDE THIS ONE AND DON’T FEEL LIKE DELETING AND REPOSTING.

One of my dreams is to invent something and I came up with this really random idea.  No further details at this time.

12/18: bought a $20 scratch ticket December 29, 2008

Yes, A scratch ticket.  Not 10 two dollar ones, not four five dollar ones, but ONE twenty dollar one.  It was the Red Sox one.  Guess what we won???  Freaking nothing.  Brian and I stared at it like, “How can this be?  We just spent $20.”

I always have this dream that I am going to win a million bucks on a scratch ticket or in the lottery (with these numbers that came to me in a dream.)  However, to win, one would actually have to play, and I do that rarely.  I just feel like my money would be better spent being donated to an animal shelter or something.  It is fun every now and then to play though.

I just checked the MA State Lottery webpage and discovered that it has updates of people who win.  The big winning tickets ($1 million or over) always seem to be sold in random places like (per the website info today) Oxford, Ashland, and Westport.  I don’t think I have ever been to any of these places in my life.

12/6: met an author and won $2 on a scratch ticket she gave me December 8, 2008

Unfortunately I cannot recall the author’s name or the name of the book, nor do I understand why she gave me a scratch ticket.  I am going to try to figure it out (the book or her name) and I will post if I can remember.
