I wanted to call it electric, but it doesn’t plug in. Do batteries count? I realize how stupid this sounds. Either way, this thing is a dream. How have I not done this before. I am an oddity in that I truly enjoy going to the dentist. I love the way my teeth feel, I like to floss, and I enjoy the company of my dentist (who is hysterical) and the receptionist. The toothbrush gives me the same clean feeling without all the small talk though.
7/26: wore a titanium healing necklace July 29, 2009
Jeez, Brian and his new age philosophies. The reason for wearing said necklace is due to the fact that I AGAIN slept on the couch with four empty beds going unused. I woke up with quite a stiff neck. So I tried this thing, but it felt too silly to take seriously.
7/25: had the police called on us when we were just smoking cigars July 29, 2009
So it was windy and we were having trouble lighting them. We went up behind a cottage out of the wind and tried to light them there. No luck. Thinking back, I can see why someone (Gary!) called the police because I am sure it looked suspicious. The police definitely did a drive by as we were enjoying our beverages sitting on the sand. Lesson learned: smoking is bad for you.

Why did I do this? What on earth was I thinking? I can assure you that I will not be couch surfing at any point in the near future- I would rather sleep on the floor.
I think this is a couch? Maybe? Either way, it is interesting.

7/19: locked myself out for the second time this weekend July 20, 2009
Amazing. I have lived here for five years and have locked myself out only twice. Both of those times were this weekend. I suck. Thank God for fantastic neighbors.
7/18 bonus: did two paintings July 19, 2009
I felt artistic and sad today, so it was a good day for painting. I bought three 8×10 canvasas and some acrylic paint at Michael’s and settled in for the evening. I created two quality (at least in my opinion) works and one mess that I threw in the trash. I still feel sad, but at least something came out of it.

7/17: used an online ruler to determine my shoe size July 18, 2009
Considering that on a normal Friday night I would probably be out spending a bunch of money with my friends but that on this particular Friday night, I am sitting all alone by my computer (nerd alert!), I have decided to spend some money on clothing and shoes. I had to convert my shoe size so I used an online ruler to determine the inches. I didn’t end up buying the shoes because I didn’t measure correctly. Bummer.
