I am normally not so successful in keeping my resolutions, so perhaps posting them here will hold me accountable. Here’s what I plan to do for 2009:
-take Spanish classes to keep up my Spanish
-exercise at least 3x/week
-drink V8 every single day
-go someplace new
-read 52 books
I spent a decent amount of time in Spain to learn Spanish and I’ll be damned if I don’t keep it up. I am currently watching movies and listening to Berlitz cds, but I need to step it up a notch.
I was on a roll running a few times a week, but with the New England weather in winter, it is hard to keep up. So I am joining a gym that I literally drive through the parking lot on the way home from work. I am hopeful that this will guilt me into going at least 3x a week.
I am not the best eater. I don’t eat a ton of healthy things. One small feat for me will be chugging a glass of V8 every morning to start the day off with some nutrients in liquid form (albeit very thick liquid.)
Each year I go somewhere new, so I will definitely stick to this one. At the moment, I am planning to attend a wedding of some friends in Cabo San Lucas in a few weeks. That will do it because I’ve never been. (Bonus- I can practice my Spanish!)
And finally, I am going to read one book a week for the next year. Reading is one of my favorite hobbies and I haven’t been giving myself too much time to do it recently. I would appreciate any book recommendations. I am particularly interested in biographies, chick lit, religion (all religions), and humor.
I wish you a happy and healthy 2009!
