My friends Jess and Kevin had a neighborhood/friends party last night so we trekked over. There were a ton of people there and we had a blast. So fun!

When Brian and I bought this place, we never dreamed we would live here for so long.
It is small.
It is a loft.
There is no bedroom.
It isn’t in the ideal location, or even one that we really enjoy.
There is no neighborhood bar.
Our friends moved away.
And the list goes on, BUT we got awesome news today. We got a five year ARM for our mortgage thinking that we would be out by now. Clearly, we aren’t. The mortgage readjusted to a LOWER RATE! WHAT????? How awesome is that? I had no idea that could happen.
We are either going to:
A. Pay the additional $ (so it would be the same amount) to the principle
or
B. Put the saved $ in our downpayment account toward our next place
What would you do? Advice please.
It was really fun! We sat way up high and were surrounded by what appeared to be a kids’ hockey league. The Bruins played the Columbus something or others- a team I have never heard of. There was a decent amount of aggression and people were getting tripped and slammed into the boards all over the place. Fights are what makes hockey fun!
Alex and Me by Dr. Irene Pepperberg. I loved it. RIP, Alex!

If you are lucky enough to find someone you love and who loves you back then you are very lucky indeed.
Ridiculous and completely unrelated joke stolen from Bridget (see In The Pines in my blogroll):
hahahahaha
As Brian and Bryan were golfing, Kim and I were virtual BFFs this weekend. Some highlights include: art, eating burgers, drinking, being the last two people at the Fours, being denied entry into anywhere in Faneuil Hall, staying up until 4 am, and seeing a shirtless faceoff outside of Tia’s.
The super highlight was when we went to a bar in the North End and played photo hunt (you know the one- GIRLS!) As we were playing, we gathered some accomplices and we all played together. Then we did a shot. Then we remembered how old we are and got in a cab and went home.
I went to the game with my mother and father in law and my sister in law. I ate a Fenway Frank, saw my old boss (from my afterschool job which I loved), and checked out the greyhounds who were up for adoption. (So cute! Alas, we have no room for a dog at the moment as two adults and two cats keep our small condo pretty much at capacity.)
The game was fun even though they lost.
*Happy Birthday (tomorrow), Laurie!*
Brian got us tickets- so psyched. Bruins! Bruins! Bruins! I am assuming that mentioning the Bruins will get a decent amount of views here on my small blog, so welcome. I posted once last year with something about the Red Sox and it is my highest viewed post to date, I believe.
FYI: this is me when I was little and had a boy’s haircut (like Kate’s hahahahaha.) I have always admired bears.
This was so much fun. It was reasonable (tickets were $49 but included the show, dinner, and dessert) and we had a blast. We were there to celebrate Melanie’s birthday. The group I was with are some of my nearest and dearest and we have fun no matter what, but this was really an excellent night. Also, the food was really good.
